When I was a kid I love playing ‘shop’ and my toy cash-register was my most prized possession. I still love shops, especially lovely little independent ones that I’ve never been to before. Any sort of shop, I really don’t mind. They’re such a great subject if you’re stuck for something to photograph – the kindly shop-owners have done all the hard work for you – whether it be Harrod’s Christmas window display or some altogether more humble efforts, such as greengrocers…

Flower shops…

And best of all, a shop full of old books – who can resist?

(I took all these photos in Lyme Regis with my lovely, lovely Pentax
K1000 and my now favourite film – Kodak Ektar 100).

Baby, it’s cold outside

Maybe if I had all this lovely stuff I would stand a chance of being warm (and yet cool at the same time)! It is freakin’ cold outside – I am a southern softie and don’t cope well in sub-zero temperatures.

Lottery win £675/$1106

Blow the bonus £218/$358

Treat yourself £33.50/$55

Budget chic £27.50/$45

The Coach one (blow the bonus) is the one I really want – that would be my designer handbag of choice if I was ever given a WAGs clothing budget (hopefully that’s the only WAG trait I would be endowed with). I love the look of the GAP bag though – v. spacious; plenty of room to carry all the stuff that hubster always ends up giving me to carry!

Mirror, mirror on the wall…

I’ve been hunting around for a nice wall mirror recently and it’s a good job I’m a bit strapped for cash because I could easily spend a fortune and cover the whole house with them!

My lustful gaze has fallen upon some wonderful stuff in its time, but at the top of my list currently is this fab necklace from brevity – I’m really into hexagons at the moment and I don’t like my jewellery to by too girlie or feminine so this would be perfect for me (hint, hint)

Also causing me to drool and slather over my computer monitor is this fabulous sea urchin lamp from my #1 fave interiors company Graham and Green

I’m not normally one for things pink and/or girlie, but there are always exceptions!
